The Internet of Things electronic floor scale is mainly designed for enterprises to conduct measurement management during the processes of raw material procurement, finished product sales, and material transportation and allocation within the factory. The communication interface of the weighing instrument is RS-485(MODBUS-RTU), while the serial communication port of the machine is RS-232C. Communication between the two requires an SC-09 adapter cable. The pin definitions of the same type of communication interface on different devices may vary.

RS-485 and RS-232C are two different standard serial data interfaces. The main difference between them lies in the different signal transmission methods. The RS-232C standard transmits signals by utilizing the voltage difference between the signal line and the common ground wire, and it adopts a unidirectional transmission mode. The RS-485 standard transmits signals based on the voltage difference between transmission lines and adopts a differential transmission method. The SC-09 cable enables the conversion between these two different signal transmission methods.
