The weighing instrument compares and distinguishes the calculated material weight with the preset upper and lower limit values of weight, and controls the feeding gate through PLC to intermittently feed materials into the weighing hopper. At the same time, the weighing instrument compares the actual feeding rate (discharge flow rate) calculated by itself with the preset feeding rate, and uses PID regulation to control the discharge device, so that the actual feeding rate accurately follows the set value. When the feeding gate is opened to feed materials into the weighing hopper, the control signal locks the feeding rate and performs volumetric discharge. The weighing instrument displays the actual feeding rate and the cumulative weight of the discharged materials.

Hopper scales are used for weighing product streams for packaging, dosing, dispensing and yield monitoring in batches. The unit consists of a hopper, weighing cell and weighing instrument. It is an ideal automatic weighing device for the modernization of bulk materials, mainly divided into totalizing hopper scales and loss-in-weight feeding scales.

The microcomputer hopper scale is displayed through the human-machine interface touch screen. The operator can directly see the material quantity in the silo from the driver's cab. Meanwhile, the touch screen is equipped with manual and automatic receiving and loading operation modes, and the signals of each material level participate in interlocking. The high material level is the upper limit for receiving materials. After the PLC receives the high material level signal, it automatically controls the electro-hydraulic push rod to close the hopper leak and controls the solenoid valve to stop the hopper from vibrating materials.

The purpose of the hopper scale is to measure and discharge metal powder. The hopper scale barrel is divided into two parts, the upper part is cylindrical and the lower part is conical. The hopper scale is installed under the aggregate bin. The hopper scale bracket is mounted on the lower rung of the equipment bracket in a semi-suspended manner, and rubber vibration damping pads are installed between the contact surfaces to weaken the impact of vibration from the equipment bracket on the hopper scale; 3 weighing modules (composed of weighing sensor, sensor support and related accessories) are installed on the hopper scale support, and the center of gravity connection of the 3 weighing modules is a regular triangle; There are 3 suspension members on the upper edge of the hopper scale, which are respectively suspended under the weighing sensor in each weighing module.

Hopper scales realize material level control by weighing, the material can be liquid or granular solid. Usually 3 or 4 force sensors are used. The weight of the material is converted into an electrical signal by the force sensors and amplified by the amplifier in the measuring circuit for display, recording and data processing. It has automatic zeroing and weighing data processing functions.

The automatic double-scale hopper machine mainly consists of the feeding part, weighing part, loading part and conveying part. The feeding section is responsible for transporting the finished materials to be weighed by the conveying equipment. The weighing section uses A dual-metering electronic scale for finished product weighing. The A and B scale oscillators feed materials to the scale hoppers of the A and B scales to measure the weight of the materials.

The operation process of the double-bin scale is as follows: Firstly, the weighing instrument transmits the raw material formula data to the PLC. Then, the PLC controls the distribution of various raw materials through the top conveying equipment and the distributor into the corresponding storage bins. During the batching process, the screw feeder sequentially delivers the raw materials to the scale. Raw materials with a large proportion (>20%) are sent to the large-bin scale; while raw materials with a small proportion (5% - 20%) are sent to the small-bin scale for weighing. The weighing module detects the quantity of each material and transmits the signal to the weighing instrument to control the feeding of the screw feeder, thereby controlling the quantitative amount of each material.

The quantitative hopper scale is divided into three specifications - large, medium and small - according to the requirements to better control the accuracy and feeding frequency. The grain silo can be made of stainless steel or carbon steel based on cost and service life. The materials inside the silo are isolated from the outside air. Each silo has a door and is kept closed, reducing the contact between the materials and the outside air to avoid the influence of damp air on the materials. Barcode recognition for feeding prevents errors, and the original information used for batching can be traced to avoid material mixing. A single dust removal system is set at the top of the silo. Customers can choose either a single dust removal system at the top of the silo or a unified dust removal system through pipelines according to their needs, reducing material loss. All materials are fed using a horizontal screw variable-speed feeding method.

Weighing hopper machine detects and samples the weight of material in the metering hopper by the controller, and stops feeding when the weight of material in the metering hopper reaches the upper limit value set for dosage. It reads the main totalization, instantaneous flow rate, set flow rate, weighing instrument status and other related data from the weighing instrument. Weighing instrument status display (zero state, interval state, running state or alarm state), online monitoring and management by computer, with high requirements on weighing speed, weighing accuracy, system compatibility and expandability.
