Platform Weighing module

The platform weighing module is mainly used for automated continuous loading operations. Its main structure includes the feeding system (comprising the buffer bin, buffer bin feeding gate), the weighing system (including the weighing bin, weighing bin discharge gate, weighing sensor and controller, calibration weights combination), the loading chute, the hydraulic system and the control system. The buffer bin is mainly used to receive the materials transported by the belt conveyor system. At the bottom of the buffer bin, there is a flap feeding gate, which can precisely control the material flow from the buffer bin to the weighing bin. Its operation is controlled by an electro-hydraulic proportional valve.

The platform weighing module system detects the weight status within the loading platform through weighing sensors. The weighing sensors are of column type and are arranged in four positions. They are driven by the weighing module and controlled by the hydraulic station. The working time and stop time can be adjusted, and manual control is also available for flexible use. When the weighing module receives a work instruction from a certain silo, the silo will close after a delay period. The weighing module will then automatically start and enter the weighing and measurement cycle operation state.

The materials enter the buffer silo, and when the accumulated materials in the buffer silo reach a certain quantity, the loading system will start. It will load the target tonnage required for the vehicle based on the ingredients from the buffer silo. When the weight of the materials in the weighing silo reaches the target tonnage, the buffer silo feed gate will be closed, completing the ingredient distribution process. The traction system will guide the vehicle onto the weighing module platform. When the vehicle reaches the target position, the discharging gate of the weighing silo will open and the materials will be loaded into the vehicle through the loading chute. After the materials are unloaded, the discharging gate of the weighing silo will be closed, thus completing one cycle of the loading process and entering the next cycle of loading for the vehicle.

The weighing silo is an independent container located between the buffer silo and the loading chute. It is supported on the platform steel structure by four corner weighing sensors. The weighing sensor can real-time detect the tonnage of the materials in the weighing silo. The discharging gate is installed at the bottom of the weighing silo to control the material flow from the weighing silo. The discharging gate is composed of two horizontal sliding door plates and is controlled by two hydraulic cylinders to open and close.

The initial weight of the weighing silo in the weighing silo combined with the target value for this loading operation can determine the remaining tonnage value for this loading operation. The opening value of the flat gate for this loading operation can be found from the fitted curve, and then the flat gate is controlled using the PID control method to reach this opening value. The materials in the weighing silo fall into the vehicle through the loading chute. When the materials in the weighing silo fall to the weighing module platform and stabilize, the weighing silo will be closed, thus completing one loading process.
