Measurement Pneumatic Conveyor

The Measurement pneumatic conveyor system operates continuously, automatically and remotely under normal working conditions, and thus is equipped with corresponding remote control valves and weighing instruments. The valves mainly adopt butterfly valves and three-way valves with cylinder actuators, and the remote control of the valves is achieved through solenoid valves. Weighing modules and temperature transmitters are respectively installed at the compressor inlet/outlet and the target silo for the measurement of pressure and temperature parameters. An oxygen analyzer is installed at the compressor outlet to detect the volume fraction of oxygen in the system. Material level switches are installed at different heights on the target silo to achieve the function of material level alarm.

Before starting the Measurement pneumatic conveyor, the entire system needs to be filled with nitrogen until the oxygen analyzer indicates that the volume fraction of oxygen is less than 4%. This process is usually completed manually. As the conveyed material is a flammable medium, excessive oxygen content can cause the material to catch fire due to friction in the pipeline. After the oxygen content index returns to normal, the operator selects the conveying path on the operation station in the control room, that is, choosing the feeding hopper, rotary Feeder, compressor and target silo to be used. After selection, the valve at the outlet of the selected compressor opens, the bypass valve of the compressor opens, the valve below the rotary feeder opens, the three-way valve points to the selected silo, and the nitrogen return valve opens. All the above actions are automatically completed by the program. At this point, the preparatory work for system startup has been completed. After the process operator issues the startup command on the operation station, the startup steps are as follows: Start the compressor; Close the bypass valve and pre-purge the system for a certain period of time. Start the rotary feeder and begin to convey materials. The system startup is completed.

The pneumatic conveyor is a pressurized closed system that uses nitrogen as the conveying gas and conveys powder materials. The materials enter the feeding hopper from the upstream section and then pass through the rotary feeder below the hopper into the conveying pipeline. The power of the system is provided by the compressor. The nitrogen pressurized by the compressor delivers the materials in the pipeline under the rotary valve to the target silo, completing the conveying task. Nitrogen is filtered through the filter at the top of the target silo and then returned to the compressor inlet for recycling. The pipeline where the control valve is located is the nitrogen replenishment pipeline. During the initial start-up of the system or when the nitrogen pressure is insufficient, nitrogen is replenished to the system through this pipeline. The pipeline where the valves are located is a nitrogen discharge pipeline. When the pressure inside the system is too high, nitrogen is discharged into the atmosphere by opening these two valves to reduce the system pressure. As the compressor and the rotary feeder are dynamic equipment, they have a certain failure rate and require regular maintenance. These devices are all configured with one in use and one on standby.
